General® EHT Pins for Legume Harvester Application

The Challenge

A leading vegetable harvesting company was experiencing premature chain wear on its legume picking machine. In order to harvest these vegetables, roller chain comes in direct contact with dirt, which in turn causes an excess buildup of debris in the pin/bushing joint. This excess dirt eventually caused the competitor’s chain to fail by wearing down the components.
